Aptly nicknamed “the village within the city”, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a charming beachfront town exuding character. An added benefit is that it will always remain that way due to the building codes only allowing low rise construction. LBTS is a very pedestrian community, with all homesteads located just a short stroll to the beach and the vibrant downtown. There you will find various locally owned places of dining and entertainment, along with boutique stores selling unique crafts. This community consists of mostly smaller ranch style homes or beachfront condominiums. An added attraction of LBTS is the incredible diving and snorkeling on offer. There is a series of both natural and artificial reefs on either side of the large pier, that are abundant with wildlife. This truly is a town in which you can relax and unwind.
